Welcome to Mud and Metal 4×4—where the dirt meets the drive.
I’m Hunter Brooks, and my journey down this road started, like many, with a love for muscle cars. My first was a candy apple red 1970 SS 396 Chevelle, a true machine built for speed and spirit. That car was my pride and freedom, but when it was totaled in an accident, I knew there’d never be another muscle car that could replace it. So I pivoted, and my sights shifted from blacktop to backroads, finding a new kind of power in my first 4×4 truck.
Off-road adventures took hold in a way that muscle cars never could. Here was a vehicle built to tackle the unknown, to veer off the well-worn paths and open up a world of trails, mud, and mountains. Even though muscle cars are still close to my heart (and I have friends who still have their originals), it’s the grit and freedom of the 4×4 life that has kept me here.
